It's time to start thinking about Fall Retreat! Fall Retreat is a great weekend of fun and time in the Word. We'll be at Central Hills Baptist Retreat Center November 3-5. Rev. Claude McRoberts (yes, Abbey's dad!) will be our speaker for the weekend. He is the senior pastor at Trinity Pres. in Montgomery, AL. Rev. McRoberts will spend the weekend going through Romans 6-8. Total cost: $110 (This helps us cover the cost of lodging, food, transportation, and speaker). Bring your $50 deposit by Wednesday, October 4 to secure your spot!

Nursery: One of our distinctives as Presbyterians and as Christians is our belief in the covenant of grace in Jesus Christ.

One of our distinctives as Presbyterians and as Christians is our belief in the covenant of grace in Jesus Christ. An essential application of that gospel truth is our responsibility to one another in our covenant community. Taking a turn in caring for our nursery children is a beautiful and needful outworking of that application. Thank you for taking seriously the responsibility to love and nurture the littlest of Christ's lambs!

New Sunday School classes begin Sunday

New Sunday School classes begin Sunday! Instead of just offering an elective system during the summer, our adult Sunday School classes will be elective all year round. In other words, there will no longer be age-related classes in the fall and spring, but all classes will be inter-generational year round—adults of all ages learning alongside of one another. We will offer four adult classes each semester, giving you the full freedom to choose the one that fits you the best.

We need you!  If you have never volunteered, or it has been a long time since you last helped, please come join us next Friday night.

We usually have between 70-90 children, youth, and adults who need buddies, someone to talk to, and to be lovingly welcomed into the Body of Christ.  Our Sonbeams Night Outs have been one of our best community outreaches for the past eleven years.

No need to sign up, just show up at 6:00 to get ready--bring your family, and join the party.  There's probably not a better way to spend your Friday night as a family, in Christ-centered service to our families touched by disability!

Missions Monday: Neighborhood Christian Center

The Neighborhood Christian Center in Jackson, MS (Merged with Mission First) strives to develop relationships with their neighbors in need, allowing for an effective presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and an opportunity to give the community a spiritual as well as a practical foundation on which they can build their lives through its programs and activities.

Realizing that Mission First, Neighborhood Christian Center and Peyton's House had the common mission of sharing the hope of Christ by meeting the needs of the local community the organizations merged in 2016. By combining strengths and resources under one organization they are better positioned to meet the needs of those around them. The resulting organization operates under the name Mission First with the now multiple campuses referred to as Neighborhood Christian Centers and Peyton's House specifically serving 6th-12th grade guys.
