Get to know Dean Williams, our associate pastor!
Where you grew up: I grew up in St. Croix, U. S. Virgin Islands, spent summers in New York.
Hobbies: Basketball, Reading, Bowling, playing games.
Fun fact: I was on my school’s bowling team; both in high school and in college; I’ve bowled a 299 game, 290 twice, 289 twice, 279 about 20 times, but never a perfect game (300).
Family: My wife’s name is listed on our college Alma Mater’s Women’s Basketball “Wall of Fame”. She’s also listed as a Women’s Basketball Pioneer on the website “luckyshow.org” (formerly “PioneeringWomeninBasketball.org) for scoring 105 in two games (55, 50).
Our daughter held all of her middle and high school’s track and field sprint records; she also held all the school’s basketball scoring records.
Our son, currently the Search and Rescue Officer on board a United States Naval ship, won a Middle School State Track and Field Championship in the 400 Meter race, won a Regional Championship in High School, and finished third that year in the State Championship race.
Anything else: Being at Pear Orchard has been one of the greatest blessings I’ve ever experienced.
